Well b’ys it’s been a long journey getting up to the mainland, but we did it. After a three day drive and a ferry to get here I couldn’t be happier. Representing Newfoundland at the Miss Teenage Canada pageant as already been such an honor. When I got to meet everyone, it felt like home because of their big smiles and friendly attitudes.

My first thought meeting the girls though, was “Oh! Aw! Shiny!” because my eyes were glued to everyone’s gorgeous sparkly crowns. After about an hour of talking with them I completely forget it was on their heads because everyone’s personalities shined much brighter then every sparkle on their pretty crown.

If you ever want a confidence booster or if you are ever feeling low or bad about yourself, come to Miss Teenage Canada. The girls are so incredibly nice and will take care of you. Even before our first activity I had already made friends with most of the girls.

At roughly 6 o’clock we all went to 2017 search for Miss Teenage Canada – sponsor party. That’s where we meet the people who run the show and the people who made it all possible. Michelle and Rob (The people who run the show), started the night off with some speeches. They told us what to expect during the pageant week and introduced our sponsors. After they wrapped it up we went around the room to meet our incredible and generous sponsors.

First spot: getting our provincial sashes. I, of course, claimed Newfoundland. Once everyone had there’s on it was much easier to tell who was who and the popular question of “What province are you from?” quickly got answered.

Second  spot: A girls best friend! Shoes! (Or is that diamonds? Maybe we have two best friends …) Nine West was a major sponsor in this years Miss Teenage Canada 2017 pageant. They had set up a booth where we could try on shoes and get our sizes. The best part? We get a pair for free later this week! We were like kids in a candy store at that booth.nine west beautiful shoes in Toronto

Third  spot: Archer Dental was giving out free toothpaste and a free tooth brush! Good thing because I dear say someone forgot that while stress packing the night before. Who was running this booth you may ask? While the man of the show of course, Rob himself!  He told usbest dentist in Toronto, archer dental all about the famous Toronto dentist Dr Natalie Archer, a local business leader who champions women in the sciences, and who has supported the pageant for many years.

Fourth  spot: Do you remember my blog post just before this one? The one about the pageant blog and Street Chic? Well the women who owned the Street Chic Fashion Magazine was there! Her name is  Lily Liao and her team published over thirty fashion blogs, submitted by over half of the Miss Teenage Canada delegates, just last week. Her magazine is up to date with everyday fashion and reaches people all over Canada! Reading some of their post gave me some ideas on how to dress up my own wore dorm! It’s a unique magazine that lets regular folk like you and me talk about our province’s fashion. P.s While at the booth I got super cute earrings that I absolutely love!

I got the chance to talk to Judy one-on-one and she is such an incredible women! She boosted my energy so much and gave me more confidence with just one conversation.

Super adorbs jewelry and fashion accessories gave us all cute little gift bags filled with goodies! Every delegate couldn’t wait to get their hands on them and see what inside! I got cute little bunny ears from them!

The last stop was something all the girls were waiting for. Food and Cake! After a long day of traveling and getting organized we were happy to sit back with a slice of pizza and a large piece of cake, with extra frosting :). But the night wouldn’t be the same without all the amazing goodies we got from our sponsors.

Looking around the room at all the generous people, I wanted to thank them a hundred times over again. To all our sponsors, we wouldn’t be at Miss Teenage Canada without you! Thank you for making our dreams possible!
